A basic female fertility study is based on a hormonal analysis and a vaginal ultrasound to assess the state of the ovarian reserve and the anatomy of the reproductive system. It is also very likely that this study will include a hysterosalpingography, an imaging test that provides information on the patency of the fallopian tubes.
