A miscarriage refers to the loss of pregnancy before the 20th week of pregnancy, or when the weight of the embryo or fetus is less than 500 grams.
One of the first stages of miscarriage is threatened miscarriage, characterized by light vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. In case of these symptoms, it is advisable to go to a specialist so that he/she can assess the situation.
