Contraception refers to the set of techniques and methods aimed at preventing fertilization and, therefore, preventing pregnancy.

There are many highly effective contraceptive methods, although none are perfect. The best option to avoid pregnancy will depend on each individual person. Some examples of contraceptives are condoms, IUDs, vaginal rings, implants, etc.
