Uterine agenesis, also called Müllerian hypoplasia, is a uterine malformation characterised by the complete absence of the uterus. Sometimes, in addition to the absence of the uterus, there are also no fallopian tubes or vagina. It is a rare uterine malformation and is known as Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome.
Women with uterine agenesis will have to resort to surrogacy or adoption if they want to become mothers.
