Despite the many advantages of the vaginal ring as a contraceptive method, it can also cause some side effects in women, such as the following:
- Increased vaginal discharge.
- Irregular bleeding or no monthly bleeding (amenorrhea).
- Headache.
- Nausea.
- Inflammation and irritation of the vagina.
However, these symptoms usually disappear within a short period of time when a woman's body becomes accustomed to the effects of the contraceptive ring.
