Coffee and caffeine consumption, in general, should be controlled in pregnant women. There are no robust studies on this topic, but it appears that drinking large amounts of coffee daily may increase the risk of gestational loss. In addition, moderate coffee consumption may also cause arrhythmias and retarded fetal growth.
However, there are no clear conclusions in this regard to be able to affirm the effects of coffee in pregnancy.
