Hi, guys any of you had an experience with the ovulation dysfunction fertility? I accompanied my friend to a fertility clinic recently, and the diagnosis was appalling.
Though my friend had been having her cycle normally, she could not be able to get pregnant. This condition is what the doctor referred to as ovulation dysfunction.
From what I have all along known, infertility in women is a straight forward affair. However, this new twist, which understands contributes a sizeable chunk of childless women is worrying.
In this case, though the other tests proved she was OK, it was the ovulation test that finally brought everything home. A closer check revealed that she was not ovulating at all.
Such women do get their normal 28 ovulation cycle without ovulating. Quite strange. Tell me how to treat the condition?

Good afternoon! My friend has the same problem. The reason of absence of ovulation is ovulatory dysfunction. It is frequent reason of woman infertility. The main problem is even if ovulation occurs, it’s not a fact that the baby will conceive. When a woman suffers anovulation, she can not become pregnant because the egg will not be fertilized, since it simply does not exist. It is very important to follow your way of life because everything depends on your stress, physical work, weight, food, age and so on. If you’ve had already doctor’s consultation, you should know the methods of treatment. In some cases, you just have to change your lifestyle and your diet. The other treatment for anovulation is medications. Also you may need to use reproductive medicine. What was the clinic you were talking about?

    Dear frida,

So that you can understand more easily what could be the treatment options in cases of ovulation dysfunction, let me explain briefly what is it and what might be the causes.

As you said, ovulation dysfunction occurs when a woman has a lack of regular ovulation, which occurs on day 14 of the cycle, as long as it is a regular, 28-day cycle.

One of the main causes of this female infertility problem is PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). This condition impacts a woman’s hormone levels, including her menstrual cycle. Ovulation issues may appear in women with eating disorders, those who are under extreme stress, or individuals with thyroid problems. Luteal phase defect, having a diminished ovarian reserve or premature ovarian failure are also causes of ovulation dysfunction.

Taking this into consideration, generally fertility medications are the first treatment of choice for this condition. Normally, clomiphene citrate (Clomid) for several cycles is the first line treatment. Should Clomid don’t work, then your doctor might recommend injectable fertility drugs. Finally, if none of these options work, IUI or IVF could work.

    I hope this helps,

    Best wishes
