When a semen sample contains a high percentage of dead spermatozoa, it is known as necrozoospermia. This is a sperm disorder that causes infertility in men.
These patients who wish to become parents have two options. One is to try IVF-ICSI, as only as many live sperm are required as eggs to be fertilised.
Another alternative if IVF-ICSI is unsuccessful or if there are no live sperm is to use a sperm donor.
