Although the term anti-mullerian hormone usually refers to women and their ovarian reserve, this hormone is also present in men. In the male population, AMH is a marker of testicular function.
The production of AMH in the male takes place in the Sertoli cells. This is also where sperm production or spermatogenesis takes place.
