Among the indications for performing a marital artificial insemination (MAI) related to female sterility are
- Cervical factor that causes alterations in the cervical mucus.
- Uterine factor such as myomas, polyps, endometriosis, etc.
- Vaginism by involuntary contraction of the muscles of the vagina. This makes it impossible for semen to be deposited.
- Ovulatory dysfunction causing irregularities.
