Testicular biopsy, also called Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE), is done in males with azoospermia who wish to have a baby. It involves removing small fragments from the testis and searching for sperm. The sample collected will be used to allow fertilization with ICSI technique (intracytoplasmic sperm injection). The ultimate goal is to achieve pregnancy.
