Based on what is causing azoospermia, we can distinguish two types:
- Secretory or non-obstructive azoospermia
- Spermatogenic failure occurs, that is, there is no sperm production.
- Obstructive azoospermia
- There is an obstruction in one or both ejaculatory ducts preventing the sperm from being ejaculated.
