Endometrial hyperplasia is a uterine disorder characterised by an overgrowth of endometrial tissue.
Women with endometrial hyperplasia may experience heavy bleeding, both in duration and amount of spotting. In addition, their menstrual cycles are often short and bleeding may occur between periods.
Endometrial hyperplasia can also cause bleeding once a woman reaches menopause.
