Endoscopic surgery is a form of intervention using an endoscope, i.e. an instrument for visualizing the inside of cavities. In the case of gynecology, the endoscope can be inserted through the vagina or the abdomen to observe the reproductive organs of the woman.
This is why hysteroscopy and laparoscopy exist. In the first case, the gynecologist will introduce the endoscope through the vagina. In contrast, when a laparoscopy is performed, small incisions are made in the abdomen to insert the instrument.
