Hysteroscopy consists of introducing a hysteroscope through the woman's vagina. Its purpose is to visualize the uterine cavity in order to diagnose and treat certain pathologies of the uterus.
It is a fairly safe procedure, so the risks of hysteroscopy are minimal. However, as in any other gynecological test, there are some possible complications.
One of them is the appearance of a vasovagal reflex, a gas embolism or a pelvic infection. Therefore, it is recommended that the medical staff be notified of anything that the patient notices that is abnormal.
