Hyperprolactinemia is a hormonal disorder characterized by the presence of elevated prolactin levels in the blood. As a consequence of elevated prolactin levels, the hypothalamus is blocked from functioning. As a result, FSH and LH hormones will not be generated and ovulation will not occur.
