Hello. Is it possible to donate some of your eggs with the IUD inside of you? I’ve been using it for 2 years now and now I want to help women become mothers – and make some money in exchange! Can the IUD have an influence or negatively impact the fertility drugs I’d have to take if I were accepted as a donor? Would I have to remove it? Thank you!

If you have an IUD insertion, you can still become an egg donor without needing to remove it as long as it is a non-hormonal IUD (i.e. it does not release hormones). Conversely, if it is a hormonal IUD, you will have no choice but to remove it if you want to be an eligible egg donor. The reason why hormonal IUDs have to be removed before becoming an egg donors is because it would interfere with the results of your medical screening, and also with the treatment you’d have to follow during the egg donation process.
I hope I have been able to help,
Best regards
