The number of benefits of using GnRH antagonists outweighs the disadvantages. However, like any other type of hormone drug, GnRH antagonists also have some disadvantages:
Some studies indicate that the pregnancy rate using GnRH antagonists is lower because of effects on endometrial receptivity.
If oral contraceptives are not taken in combination with GnRH antagonists, it is possible that asynchrony in the growth of ovarian follicles may occur.
