Sperm donors must meet numerous criteria to be part of the program, in addition to having good physical and psychological health and excellent semen quality. This is why fertility treatments that require donor sperm have a higher success rate.
However, the age of the woman and her ovarian quality is also very important. In addition, the reason for infertility and the hormonal medication used, as well as the response to it, must be taken into account.
Another factor to highlight is uterine receptivity. Even if the gametes are of good quality, if the reproductive procedure is not performed at the right time with a receptive endometrium, the success rate of the treatment will decrease.
