To know the total length of pregnancy, the date of the last menstrual period (LMP) or the exact date on which ovulation occurred must be taken into account.
If a pregnant woman remembers the exact date of her last ovulation, the length of pregnancy would be 38 weeks, which corresponds to 266 days or 9 months.
If the date of ovulation is not known, the date of the last menstrual period (LMP) will be taken into account. Therefore, the pregnancy would last 40 weeks counting from the first day of the RUF, which is equivalent to 280 days.
