The easiest and cheapest way to become a single mother is through artificial insemination (AI) with donor sperm. This would cost around £1,000-2,000.
This would be followed by in vitro fertilisation with donor sperm. In this case, we would be talking about a financial investment of around £3,500-4,500, and if donor eggs are also needed, then the cost of IVF would rise to as much as £6,500-9,000.
Finally, embryo adoption costs around £3,000-3,200.
