The cost for a single woman to fulfil her desire for motherhood will depend on the assisted reproductive technique used.
The easiest and cheapest way to become a single mother is through artificial insemination (AI) with donor sperm at a cost of around $2,000.
The next cheapest fertility treatment, although more expensive than AI, would be in vitro fertilisation with donor sperm. In this case, we would be talking about a financial investment of approximately $13,000-17,000. However, if in addition to the need for donor sperm, donated eggs are also required, then the cost of IVF would rise to as much as $20,000-40,000.
Finally, embryo adoption is a mid-priced alternative. Its cost is around 12,000$-15,000$ euros. It should be borne in mind that none of these price ranges include hormone medication, which would be an additional expense in all cases.
