Inflammation of the ovaries can cause certain symptoms, although this will depend on how swollen the ovaries are and can also vary from woman to woman. Some of the most common symptoms associated with oophoritis are fever, abdominal pain, disruption of the menstrual cycle and nausea. In addition, ovaritis can also cause increased vaginal discharge and discomfort when urinating.
It is therefore necessary for a woman to visit a doctor when she notices any discomfort in order to know how to proceed and avoid any future complications.
