Once a woman becomes pregnant, it is important that she visits her doctor to inform them of her new condition. The doctor will then adjust the medication doses to avoid pregnancy complications.
Other recommendations when taking medication for hypothyroidism include taking it on an empty stomach and following an iodine-rich diet. Therefore, the consumption of iodized salt, white and blue fish, seafood, etc., is advised.
