The World Health Organization (WHO) establishes that a seminal sample must have at least 15 million spermatozoa for every mL of ejaculate. However, when this sperm concentration is between 15 million and 100,000 spermatozoa, the seminal sample is said to be oligozoospermic.
Furthermore, if the number of spermatozoa is less than 100,000, the seminal alteration is called cryptozoospermia.
