Before Menopur is administered, it is necessary for the patient to reconstruct the medication and prepare the injection. In the case of Menopur 75, which comes in the form of a vial of powder and a vial of solvent, the following instructions should be followed.
- Break the vial of solvent and suck out the contents with the mixing needle
- Insert the mixing needle through the rubber stopper of the powder vial and insert the solvent.
- Gently stir the mixture until a clear solution is obtained. Then vacuum the contents for the injection
- Change the mixing needle to the subcutaneous injection needle
