Oligoasthenozoospermia or oligoasthenospermia is a combination of two seminal alterations: oligospermia and asthenozoospermia. A seminal sample will be oligoasthenospermia when sperm concentration and motility parameters are altered.
These males may have difficulty achieving natural pregnancy, so they will have to resort to assisted reproductive techniques to become fathers. If the oligoasthenozoospermia is mild or discrete, artificial insemination (AI) can be attempted. Otherwise, the best option is in vitro fertilization (IVF) with sperm microinjection or ICSI.
