Ovitrelle is a hormonal drug composed of recombinant hCG hormone. This drug is used in assisted reproduction to induce ovulation so that the ovarian puncture can be scheduled for egg retrieval. Normally, the follicular puncture will be performed about 36 hours after the patient administers Ovitrelle.
Other indications for this hormonal medication are in women with anovulation or in the process of frozen embryo transfers, as well as embryos from ovodonation.
