Pelvic inflammatory diseases or PID are a group of inflammatory processes that affect the female genital tract. Some of the possible causes of PID can be:
- Endometrial biopsy.
- Abortions.
- Childbirth.
In addition, bacterial infections of the female genital tract, changes in the vaginal flora or even sexual intercourse with different partners can also cause PID.
