The complementary technique of PICSI is especially beneficial for those males whose sperm motility is correct, but who have a high sperm fragmentation.
The most frequent cases in which PICSI is used are the following:
- Patients with altered sperm FISH analysis.
- Cases of sterility of unknown origin.
- Patients who experience recurrent miscarriages with suspicion of male factor.
- Failures in previous IVF-ICSI cycles.
