To perform the control semen analysis after a vasectomy, there are some recommendations for collecting the semen sample:
- Proper hygiene of the genital area and hands.
- Ejaculatory abstinence of 2-5 days.
- Collect the complete sample.
- Report relevant information, such as if you have been sick or taken any medication.
In addition, if the seminal sample is collected at home, it must be taken to the laboratory as soon as possible, protecting it from light and carrying it in a pocket close to the body to maintain its heat.
