Chemotherapy and other cancer treatments have a negative effect on fertility. Women suffering from any type of cancer should be informed of the options available to preserve their fertility and be able to become mothers after overcoming the disease.
Otherwise, these oncological treatments could destroy the ovarian follicles, alter the maturation of the oocytes and reduce oocyte quality. All of this would make it difficult to achieve pregnancy after cancer.
