Sometimes, there are women who present their uterus in a different position than usual, that is, the uterus is in anteversion. When the uterus moves backwards, it is said to be in retroversion. Another variation in the position of the uterus is retroversion, when it is also tilted towards the rectum.
These uterine variants do not involve any fertility problems, but they can result in painful menstruation.
