Men with a BMI greater than 30 (obesity) are more likely to suffer from alterations in semen parameters, such as:
- Oligozoospermia.
- Asthenozoospermia.
- Teratozoospermia.
- Higher percentage of sperm DNA fragmentation.
In short, obese men may have their semen quality affected and present infertility of endocrine origin.
