Thanks to time-lapse technology it is possible to have detailed information on the development of embryos throughout their culture in the laboratory. One of the advantages of time-lapse systems in the field of assisted reproduction is that it allows a better selection of embryos. This translates into higher pregnancy rates and a lower probability of multiple pregnancy since it will prioritize the transfer of a single embryo.
Despite this, more studies are still needed to know the results it can offer in fertility treatments and how to increase the success rate of these treatments.
