Definition of the time-lapse technology (TTL)

Time-lapse technology is a technique widely used in the field of assisted reproduction for the analysis of embryo development in an IVF process. This technology consists of taking photographs sequentially at different times. All the photographs taken of the embryos are combined to form a video. Thus it is possible to evaluate embryo development without having to remove the embryos from the incubator.

In addition to evaluating morphological parameters, time-lapse technology also analyzes kinetic parameters.
