Normal testis vs. varicocele

As one shall see in the picture, when a mal has varicocele, the testicular veins are swollen. In most severe cases, it is visible to the naked eye.

This abnormality in blood flow can increase the temperature of the testicles, which subsequently compromises sperm production and male fertility.
