Consequences of delaying childbearing

It is becoming increasingly common to delay the desire to become a mother, whether for social, economic or work-related reasons. However, the fact is that a woman's age plays an important role in determining her fertility. As time goes by, the quantity and quality of a woman's eggs decreases and, especially, there is a drastic decrease after the age of 35.

In addition, a woman's age also influences chromosomal alterations in her eggs. The older the woman is, the greater the probability of aneuploidy and, therefore, the greater the probability of miscarriage.
