Antiphospholipid syndrome or APS is a systemic autoimmune disease due to the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies. This pathology causes the appearance of clots in the arteries and veins.
Some of the symptoms in patients with APS are:
- Venous thrombosis.
- Recurrent miscarriage.
- Stroke.
- Migraine headaches.
- Thrombocytopenia.
- Livedo reticular.
FAS is also associated with increased risk of preterm delivery and preeclampsia, as well as intrauterine growth restriction.
