Non-hormonal birth control: IUD

The IUD (intrauterine device), also known as coil, is a tiny, T-shaped device which is inserted by a trained gynecologist in a woman's uterus to prevent a pregnancy.

PARAGARD is the only homrone-free IUD available nowadays. However, the most common is the Copper T IUD, which contains polyethylene with Copper.
