If a woman's BMI is higher than 25, i.e. she is overweight or obese, estrogen production is reduced and GnrH is blocked. As a consequence, the release of FSH and LH will also be blocked.
As a result of the alteration of this mechanism of action, women will have irregular menstrual cycles, but also the production of spermatozoa in men will be affected.
