The administration of hCG hormone is common in assisted reproduction techniques. However, like all drugs, this hormone can produce some adverse reactions such as the following:
- Headache.
- Abdominal pain.
- Nausea and vomiting.
- Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
- Discomfort at the injection site.
- Allergic reactions.
In the event that the patient notices any of these symptoms, she should consult her specialist so that he can check if everything is fine.
