Although it is becoming more and more common to opt for the transfer of a single embryo, it is true that it is important to assess the situation of each patient in a personalized way. Therefore, several factors must be studied together to determine the number of embryos to be transferred.
Some of them are the embryo quality, the woman's age, the endometrial receptivity or the origin of the eggs. It is not the same if an A quality embryo is to be transferred as a D quality embryo.
