The in vitro fertilization (IVF) technique has many advantages, but it is not without risks. Among them, we can mention the following:
- Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS)
- Multiple pregnancy.
- Spontaneous miscarriage.
- Ectopic pregnancy.
In addition, one cannot forget the possible risks associated with a follicular puncture, since, although simple, it is a surgical procedure.
