During ovarian stimulation, the woman should come to the clinic for various ultrasound checks and to measure the size of the follicles. Thus, when the ovarian follicles reach a size of 16-18 mm, the doctor will schedule the ovarian puncture to extract the eggs.
Therefore, ovarian puncture is a surgical procedure in which the follicles are punctured and the liquid inside where the eggs are located is aspirated.
