Pregnancy in women aged 40-50 years old is becoming increasingly common in today's society. This phenomenon, known as delayed motherhood, increases the risk of suffering complications during pregnancy or at birth, including gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, miscarriage, and giving birth by C-section.
Women who want to have a child in their 40s or 50s should consider the biological risks associated even if she feels perfectly capable of having a baby at that point in her life.
