Ovarian stimulation in reciprocal IVF

Ovarian stimulation in reciprocal IVF

The genetic mother of the same-sex couple should be given hormonal medication containing GnRH analogs and gonadotropins to stimulate the production of multiple ovarian follicles. This will be done in a controlled manner to avoid complications in the woman. It is also necessary for the genetic mother to visit the center periodically for successive ultrasound controls. In this way, the specialist will be able to determine the best moment for obtaining the eggs.

The duration of the ovarian stimulation during a reciprocal IVF is the same as for an In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), so it is usually around 10-12 days.
