This technique is recommended for women who have uterine cancer. It consists of removing the cervix and connecting the vagina and uterus through a strip. In addition, nearby lymph nodes are removed.
The strip takes over the function of the cervix and creates an opening into the uterus. Depending on the needs, the strips may or may not be opened.
This technique makes it possible to achieve pregnancy and have the baby by cesarean section.
