Cervical incompetence

In some women, recurrent miscarriages are a consequence of the insufficiency of the cervical muscle to remain closed. Normally, gestational losses due to this cervical factor occur after the first trimester. To solve this problem, the pregnant woman can be operated on to perform a cerclage: a cervical suture to narrow the cervix.
