Women of advanced maternal age are at greater risk of implantation failure due to an increase in chromosomal abnormalities in their eggs. Therefore, undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) may be a solution.
Thanks to this complementary technique, it is possible to select healthy embryos, i.e., those without genetic abnormalities, for transfer to the uterus. This reduces the likelihood of implantation failure and increases the pregnancy rate.
